Member of the Orchestra Since 1999

Kelly Cornell is the third horn of the Kansas City Symphony. She also performs as the Principal Horn of the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra. She has played extra with the Cincinnati Symphony and as a guest principal with the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Prior to her appointment in Kansas City, Cornell received her Master of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music and her Bachelor of Music from the University of Cincinnati. Cornell was a Tanglewood Music Center Fellow, and has performed as a member of the National Repertory Orchestra, Britt Festival, Sunflower Music Festival in Topeka, Kansas, and at the Crested Butte (Colorado) Music Festival.
