Latvian virtuoso Baiba Skride makes her Kansas City debut with guest conductor Grant Llewellyn and the orchestra for Shostakovich's haunting Violin Concerto No. 1. The evening includes Beethoven's heroic Coriolan Overture and Brahms' joyous Serenade No. 1, a virtuoso showpiece for orchestra.
