The Kansas City Symphony’s Inside Music Series features a variety of artists presenting master classes, lectures and informal conversations. These unique educational events are ideal for students, teachers and listeners alike. Master Classes listed below include performances by multiple students/student groups and a Q&A with the guest. Piano superstar Joyce Yang returns to Kansas City and will host a master class on Saturday, March 2 at 11am in Helzberg Hall. Advanced high school and college pianists are invited to apply for participation. Please submit an online nomination form by Friday, February 9. This event is free and open to the public.
XAVIER FOLEY, DOUBLE BASS

HELZBERG HALL, KAUFFMAN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Virtuoso double bassist and composer Xavier Foley hosts a double bass master class in Helzberg Hall on Saturday, April 6 at 11am in Helzberg Hall. Advanced high school and college double bassists are invited to apply to perform. Please submit an online nomination form by Friday, March 15. This event is free and open to the public.
VIRTUAL MASTER CLASS SERIES
Double Bass Virtual Master Class
Members of the Kansas City Symphony Double Bass Section hosted an online Virtual Masterclass this summer. Open to all ages and ability levels, the class included students from across the country. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with our Kansas City Symphony professionals to receive one-on-one feedback, critiques and encouragement as they learn and grow as musicians.
