KCSA Secret Art Auction

Virtual art auction with a twist starts April 26 and runs through May 16

KC Symphony Secret Art Auction is a Chance to Own Beautiful Original Artwork
by High Profile Names, Established and Emerging Artists

Artworks go up for bid online starting April 26, 2021. The auction will run through May 16 at www.kcauctioncompany.com

The Kansas City Symphony Alliance (KCSA) is presenting its first-ever secret art auction! The KC Symphony Secret Art Auction will feature carefully curated original pieces of art contributed by artists from the Kansas City area and beyond. Various Symphony musicians, guest artists and friends, designers, and other established and emerging artists from throughout the community and beyond have been invited to contribute original artworks of their own creation to this fundraiser.

The twist – artworks are signed only on the back, keeping the artists’ identities a secret from the public and buyers until the auction is closed and artists’ names are revealed.

The secrecy adds to the fun. Who knows? Buyers may wind up with a piece created by their own favorite Symphony musician, a talented local artist or even a famous guest artist.
All artworks measure 5.5-inch x 8.5-inches in size and mediums might include watercolor, oils, charcoal, pen and ink, photography, mixed media or collage.
Every piece in the auction will have the same minimum starting bid price. Everyone has a chance to own a unique, original piece of art and help our Kansas City Symphony keep music vibrant in the community!

Watch KCSA’s Facebook page for more details and even a sneak peek at some of the pieces up for grabs.
