Link Up, a program of which pairs orchestras across country with students in grades 3–5 at schools in their local communities to explore orchestral repertoire. Through a hands-on music curriculum, students in grades 3–5 discover how composers create musical movement using elements such as motif, melodic direction, steps and leaps, dynamics, and orchestration. Exploring a range of orchestral repertoire, students sing, play the recorder, compose and perform in a culminating concert with the Kansas City Symphony in Helzberg Hall!

*Each student ticket includes a student workbook. Teachers may also opt to purchase student tickets that also include a recorder. One teacher per school will receive Carnegie Hall’s Teacher’s Guide, recorder, KCS Teacher Training Workshop and access to Carnegie Hall’s online teacher resource center.

Reservations may also be made over the phone by contacting Owen Craig at (816) 218-2609.
