KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 2, 2026) — The Kansas City Symphony will welcome audiences to experience a dynamic reimagining of Taylor Swift’s repertoire, reconfigured for a full live orchestra, band and vocalists. Steve Hackman’s “Taylor Swift: The Symphony Era,” a two-night-only concert event, will transform Helzberg Hall into a journey through the eras on June 11 and 12 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Staged in one of the top concert halls in the world, Kansas City will have a chance to experience Swift’s music in a way it never has before. The two-night engagement is designed for music lovers, pop fans and symphony regulars alike, pairing the energy of a live concert event with the sonic range of a full orchestra. The set list will span Swift’s storied catalog, including 42 favorites across the eras such as “Blank Space,” “Love Story,” “All Too Well” and more.

A composer, conductor and creative visionary known for redefining orchestral music through bold, genre-blending works, Steve Hackman has built a national reputation for his inventive redefinitions of artists and composers including Brahms, Beyoncé, Radiohead, Drake and more. Now, Hackman brings his signature fusion touch to the music of Taylor Swift in a symphonic program that weaves together the singer’s beloved hits and fan-favorite deep cuts. Joined by a live band, dynamic vocalists and the full power of the Kansas City Symphony, Hackman’s latest production brings added scale, texture and dramatic sweep to Swift’s songwriting while offering listeners a new way to experience the storytelling at the heart of her catalog.

Tickets are available now through the Kansas City Symphony box office and website.

About The Kansas City Symphony

In only its 44th season, the Kansas City Symphony has already become one of America’s most vibrant major orchestras and has gained national and international recognition. At its orchestral home of Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, the Symphony serves the Kansas City metropolitan region of more than 2.2 million people.

The Symphony’s 80 full-time musicians present a diverse and dynamic range of orchestral and chamber music performances each season under the artistic leadership of music director Matthias Pintscher, an internationally acclaimed conductor and composer who regularly conducts many of the world’s leading orchestras and opera companies.

In addition to concerts in Helzberg Hall, Symphony musicians perform throughout the region on an innovative portable stage, the Mobile Music Box. The Symphony also serves as the orchestra for the Kansas City Ballet and the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, adding to the rich cultural experiences that these organizations offer to the community.
