KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 10, 2026) — The Kansas City Symphony has announced the fall 2026 schedule for the Mobile Music Box, featuring a lineup of 14 special concerts at local parks across the metro. The fall season officially opens tonight with a show in Antioch Park and will run until its closer on Oct. 27 at Lake Olathe.

All performances are weather permitting. For outdoor park shows, lawn chairs, picnics and blankets are encouraged, and pets and children are more than welcome.

First launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mobile Music Box provides free outdoor chamber music concerts to audiences across the metro. To date, Symphony musicians have performed in 263 unique locations, spread over 96 zip codes, reaching almost 80,000 people.
