The Kansas City Symphony family mourns the loss of Donald J. Hall, Sr., a dear friend, longtime Board member and devoted supporter. Don was one of the founding trustees of the Kansas City Symphony Board of Directors in 1983. He served as a Vice President on the board from the 1983/84 season through the 1987/88 season, and remained on the board through the 1995/96 season.
Recruited by Crosby Kemper and fueled by a passion for his city, Don was a key figure in the formation of our orchestra. He remained an active supporter of the Symphony his entire life, personally and through the Hallmark Corporate Foundation and Hall Family Foundation, which carry on his extraordinary legacy in the Kansas City community.
We are deeply grateful for his leadership and dedicated service. Our hearts are with the Hall family at this time.
