Michael Brown

Michael Brown joined the Kansas City Symphony in 2022. A student of Kathleen Winkler and Stephen Rose, Michael pursued his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Rice University and Cleveland Institute of Music. He has spent his summers at various music festivals, including NYO-USA, Domaine Forget, National Orchestral Institute, and Aspen Music Festival. Michael has had the privilege of playing in lessons and masterclasses for several esteemed artists such as Naoko Tanaka, Cornelia Heard, Donald Weilerstein, Rachel Barton Pine, Régis Pasquier, Noah Bendix-Balgley, and David Halen, among others. Recent experiences include performing in the New World, Milwaukee, and Houston Symphony as a substitute.
