January 8, 2013 | KANSAS CITY, MO – A new symphonic tour-de-force from the Kansas City Symphony! The KCS released today a new CD of colorful, beloved English music that has been captured in brilliant HDCD sound by GRAMMY®-winning engineer Keith O. Johnson.

BMO Private Bank (formerly M&I Wealth Management) and the Kansas City Symphony are proud to announce a partnership for the 2012-2013 season, which includes lead sponsorship of the Symphony’s new Classics Uncorked chamber orchestra series to be held in Helzberg Hall, and support of the Symphony Business Council.

The Kansas City Symphony will debut a new seriesin Helzberg Hall, Classics Uncorked, beginning November 8 at 7pm. The new Classics Uncorked series has an earlier start time, a shorter program without intermission, a more casual atmosphere, and a free glass of wine or champagne after the concert, along with the chance to socialize with Symphony musicians in the Brandmeyer Grand Lobby.

The Symphony Happy Hour Chamber Music Series is designed as an after-work opportunity to enjoy chamber music by ensembles of KCS musicians. It’s the perfect after-work way to unwind. Come by Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center October 17 at 6 pm for the first of four Happy Hour FREE chamber music concerts featuring Symphony musicians.

The Kansas City Symphony will debut three new series in Helzberg Hall this fall. With tickets for the Symphony in high demand, these new weekday series offer more opportunities to enjoy great music in new settings and styles of performance.

The Kansas City Symphony is pleased to announce that Kansas City Symphony Chorus Artistic Director Charles Bruffy’s contract has been extended by three years, through June 2015.

The Kansas City Symphony will present its 29^th annual Labor Day Pops in the Park concert on Monday, September 3, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Under the evening sky, and the baton of assistant conductor Aram Demirjian in his KCS debut, the full symphony orchestra will perform a program designed to delight family audiences.
