Laura Fuller, Viola

Laura Fuller, violist in the Kansas City Symphony, is also the Assistant Principal in Chicago’s Grant Park Orchestra. As an orchestral musician, she is a regular substitute of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony, and has also performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She served as principal violist at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the National Repertory Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, her summer festival appearances include the Verbier Academy in Switzerland, the Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival, the ENCORE School for Strings, and the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival. Her solo performances include her 2001 debut with the Kansas City Symphony and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with the National Repertory Orchestra. She received her Bachelor of Music in 2007 from the Curtis Institute of Music as a student of Roberto Diaz, and previously attended the Cleveland Institute of Music. In addition to Mr. Diaz, her primary teachers include Jeffrey Irvine and Paul Coletti. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling with her husband, Andrew.
